Highfields Solar Farm Sold Following CfD Award

The sale of Highfields Solar Farm, located near Costock, has been successfully completed, marking a further notable transaction in the UK utility-scale solar market.

The 65MW project, developed by Infrabee, was awarded a Contract for Difference (CfD) under Allocation Round Six (AR6) of the Government’s CfD scheme, providing long-term revenue certainty and strengthening the project’s investment fundamentals.

The project has been acquired by Ampyr Solar Europe (ASE), aleading independent solar power producer active across the UK and Europe. With a secured CfD in place, Highfields Solar Farm is expected to reach commercial operation by 2028.

James Whitcher, Director at Infrabee, commented: “We’re delighted to have concluded another sale following a lengthy planning and sales process. We wish Ampyr Solar Europe every success in taking the project through construction and into operation.”

The transaction highlights ongoing investor confidence in UK solar assets with secured CfDs and underlines the continued strength of the development pipeline as projects progress from consented schemes into delivery.
